Nan Cunningham is possessed of a distinctly Southern voice, with a universal appeal that has brought her national attention. She is a teller of tales, a transformer of light, and a lens through which we are transported from the present moment to the realm where time is suspended. Her personal presence and uncanny ability to translate light, color, form and story give voice and feeling to her painting and teaching.
